Introducing Residents Circle: built from life on our estate

We built Residents Circle to help residents, committees, managing agents and contractors raise standards together.

Today, 28 September 2026, we’re launching Residents Circle. We live on an estate ourselves and know the effort that goes into looking after a place together. We built Residents Circle to make that work easier to follow and share.

Why we started

We often left meetings with our managing agent wondering what would happen next. Work had been agreed and minuted, but as plans changed, it became hard to follow what was happening and why.

Our main contact at the managing agent changed every year, usually with almost no handover. We wanted a shared record that stays useful when people move on.

Raising standards together

What began as a wish to see agreed work done grew into a wider mission: raising standards for everyone who looks after an estate.

A shared record helps estate managers pick up work after a handover, contractors record completed jobs, and committees keep residents informed. For managing agents, it also means a clear record of their work, with progress available for everyone to follow.

What we’ve built

Residents Circle brings discussions, maintenance issues, documents, newsletters, surveys and elections together in one place. Residents report issues. The people handling them assign work, set due dates and record progress, so everyone can see what still needs doing.

UK Good Neighbour Day

Today, we’re also kicking off our own initiative: UK Good Neighbour Day, and with it Good Neighbour Week, from 28 September to 4 October. The idea is simple: a good neighbourhood starts with hello.

Say hello to a neighbour this week, and follow us @residentscircle to join in.

See it for yourself
