Our place
Know what is going on around you
Neighbourhood Watch alerts, your police team, council, bin days and your MP, in one place for every resident. For estates in England.
Neighbourhood Watch alerts
Alerts for your area, newest first
Local lists the Neighbourhood Watch alerts for your estate’s area, newest first, with who sent it and a short summary where the alert gives them, and the day. It checks for new alerts every hour and drops them after 90 days. A manager can hide an alert from residents.
- Sender and summary where the alert gives them, and the day
- A title opens the alert on its own site when there is one
- Checked every hour; alerts drop off after 90 days
- A manager can hide an alert from residents

Police
Know your neighbourhood police team
Local names your police neighbourhood team from police.uk: its officers, its current priorities and its next meeting, with a link to email the team and the 101 number, marked as not for emergencies.
- The officers on your team, with their ranks
- The team’s priorities, with the month they were set
- The next meeting, with its time and place
- Email the team, its page, and 101 in one place
- Sam Sample, Police Constable
- Alex Example, PCSO
- Bike theft from communal stores
- Anti-social behaviour on the riverside path
Bins, council and MP
Find your bin days, council and MP
Local links to GOV.UK to find your bin days, names your council, and shows your MP with a contact page. It all comes from your estate’s postcode.
- A link to your bin days on GOV.UK
- Your council, and the county council above it where there is one
- Your MP, their party and constituency
- An email address or phone number for your MP, when one is listed

Set up in Manage
Set up once with a postcode
A manager enters the estate’s postcode in Manage. Local looks up the ward, council, police neighbourhood and constituency, and Manage shows what it found. Local covers England only for now.
- One postcode fills in the council, police team and MP
- Use the current location to find the postcode; it is never stored
- Paste your area’s address from your force’s alert site to turn on alerts
- Change the postcode and Local looks it up again
Everything on Local starts here: the council, the ward, the police team and your MP. Local covers England only for now.
Your location is used for this lookup only and never stored.
Found from the postcode. Residents see these on Local; change the postcode to look them up again.
