Add up to six photos, a title and a price, or turn on Free to give it away. Only the members of your estate can see the listing, and it stays up for 30 days.

  • Food past its date, medicines, weapons, alcohol, tobacco and anything illegal can’t be listed; items only, no services

Every live listing shows its price or a Free badge, the seller’s name and when it went up. Filter to Free, or to your own items.

  • Filter by All, Free or My items
  • Newest first
  • A Reserved badge on items the seller has marked reserved
  • The seller’s name, never their home

Contact

Ask the seller, from the item

Message about this item opens a message to the seller with the first line already written. You arrange pickup in Messages. Payment is between you and the seller; the marketplace handles no payments.

  • One conversation per item, apart from your other messages
  • The first line names the item and uses the seller’s first name
  • The conversation keeps the item at its head, with View item
  • Report an item to the managers

Mark it done

Mark it reserved, sold or given away

From the menu on your own listing, mark it reserved, and available again if the sale falls through. Mark it sold, or given away if it was free. A listing that lapses can be renewed.

  • Mark as reserved, Mark as available
  • Mark as sold, or Mark as given away for a free item
  • After 30 days a listing expires, and Renew puts it back
  • Edit or delete your listing

Capabilities

What the marketplace does

  • Photos

    Up to six per listing, JPEG, PNG or WebP. Location data is stripped from every photo.

  • Price or Free

    A price in pounds, or a Free switch. A free item marked as sold reads Given away.

  • All, Free and My items

    Three filters on the list. My items shows every state of your own listings.

  • Message the seller

    One conversation per item and buyer, kept apart from your other messages.

  • Reserved, sold, given away

    The seller marks the item from its menu. Sold is final.

  • 30-day listings

    A listing expires after 30 days. The seller renews it from My items.

  • Report and hide

    Members report an item once; managers can hide it and give the seller a reason.

  • Yours to switch off

    A manager can turn the marketplace off in Manage → Settings → Estate. The items are kept.
